Ifrah Mohamed’s first grade class is preparing to start a new unit in English Language Arts — and what better way to do so than to sample what’s to come? She hosted a “book tasting” where her Dewey Elementary students walked around with a “menu” of upcoming books.

We are thrilled to open our doors once again and embark on a new journey of learning, growth, and discovery with your children.
Dewey Elementary third graders connected Earth Month to their recent STEAM/Makerspace library unit. Using paper making screens to create sheets of recycled paper, students created more than 300 bookmarks to share with their Dewey classmates!
