Spider Plants to Improve Dewey's Air Quality

Spider Plants to Improve Dewey's Air Quality

In celebration of Earth Month, 5th graders at Dewey Elementary School will be propagating, potting, and distributing spider plants to interested teachers in an effort to improve the air quality. Spider plants are easy to care for and, according to a NASA study, remove 95 percent of the toxic substance formaldehyde from a sealed Plexiglas chamber in 24 hours.
